BLEU DE NÎMES, the tonic cocktail for balanced skin.

The BLEU DE NÎMES care soap is primarily intended for balanced skin, which does not have acute dryness problems and which wishes to accompany its gentle and natural moisturising on a daily basis, from the moment of cleansing. It facilitates skin regulation after the shower and helps the skin to maintain its elasticity and tone. Rich in omega-3-6-9, it forms a very balanced vegetable glycerine, particularly appreciated by the skin.

Its light, bubbly foam envelops the skin in a silky texture, delicately softened by surfine extracts of lazurite, a magnificent natural mineral with intense blue pigments. Its fragrance (100% organic essential oils) plays on the tonicity and freshness of aromatic and woody notes. First a garrigue, marine and dry at the same time. Then the woods, pine trees proud of the wind and the blue sun. Then the canvas, like a curtain of incense that slowly rises and vibrates.

Of course, nothing could be simpler than soaping up, since the dawn of time. But the reality is that everything from setting the water temperature to drying your skin to choosing the right care soap counts! So here are our application tips:

1. Prepare your skin by wetting it with water at a pleasant temperature, but not too hot. Excessive temperature increases the sensation of irritation and tingling of the skin. At the end of the shower, it accentuates the evaporation of water from the surface of the skin and therefore its immediate dehydration.

2. Moisten your OPPIDUM care soap and rub it directly onto the skin. Focus on the main areas where you will lather your soap: arms, chest, shoulders, lower back, thighs, calves.

3. Lather the soap on your skin with your hands and spread it all over your body. Skin against skin, your soaping is carried out with maximum gentleness, without the rubbing or irritation that textile fibres can cause.

4. Let the soap sit on the skin for a few seconds. You prolong its cleansing action and increase the uptake of the soap's natural glycerine by your skin. This is where the rehydrating and repairing care begins.

5. Rinse with clean water, not too hot. Again, too high a temperature would reduce the care provided by your soap: it would disrupt the production of sebum necessary for skin hydration and cause excessive evaporation of skin moisture.

6. Dry your skin by dabbing it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing too hard and scraping the skin with textile fibres: excessive rubbing removes the lipid film deposited on the skin by your soap. Especially in winter, when temperature contrasts exacerbate the skin's sensitivity.

ONE SOAP, TWO ACTIONS.

Cold saponified from precious plant materials, your soap is composed not only of "soap" (the washing part of the soap) but also of vegetable glycerine produced naturally during the saponification process during the weeks of treatment in our workshops (the emollient and softening part of the soap).

In the shower or in the bath, this double composition ensures a simultaneous double action on the skin. The soap-care product acts firstly as an effective cleanser by removing the oily film from the skin to be cleansed as well as the bacteria responsible for bad body odours. At the same time, it deposits a thin layer of emollient and lipid-replenishing glycerine, which is immediately absorbed by the epidermis, allowing the skin's hydrolipidic protection to be re-established without delay, diffusing the natural properties of the oils and butters used in the composition of the soap-care product and restoring the capacity of water to preserve its hydration and regain suppleness and comfort.

The quality of the glycerine is therefore closely linked to the quality of the vegetable oils and butters chosen to create your soap. The composition of the oils and butters in fatty acids and unsaponifiable matter, the adaptation of the formulas to the different needs of the skin, the integral biological quality of each plant material, the use of precious oils and butters as basic ingredients and not just as residual additives... everything counts to obtain the best textures and to ensure real effects on the skin.
