100% natural | 100% organic (excluding water and minerals)

BOIS DE ROSEIt is also used to nourish and stimulate dry and weakened skin.

The soap-care BOIS DE ROSE acts first of all as a repairing cleanser by combining the softening and rehydrating power of Sweet Almond and the decongesting properties of Rice Bran oil, rich in trace elements and unsaponifiable matter. It also acts as a skin stimulant thanks to its toning and soothing essential oils, as well as the presence of red clay, reputed to improve blood circulation and therefore the nutrition of the epidermis. Shea butter completes the package and enriches the plant glycerin that the skin can absorb to nourish itself and renew its lipidic protection. The treatment starts with the shower, not afterwards, and is particularly recommended to fight against the tightness and irritation of dry skin or to accompany the effects of skin ageing.

In terms of sensations, the BOIS DE ROSE soap-care distils a very pleasant foam, softened with red clay, which acts like a smooth and supple shower cream. Its fragrance, composed solely of soothing essential oils, stimulates cell regeneration.

Of course, nothing could be simpler than soaping up, since the dawn of time. But the reality is that everything from setting the water temperature to drying your skin to choosing the right care soap counts! So here are our application tips:

1. Prepare your skin by wetting it with water at a pleasant temperature, but not too hot. Excessive temperature increases the sensation of irritation and tingling of the skin. At the end of the shower, it accentuates the evaporation of water from the surface of the skin and therefore its immediate dehydration.

2. Moisten your OPPIDUM care soap and rub it directly onto the skin. Focus on the main areas where you will lather your soap: arms, chest, shoulders, lower back, thighs, calves.

3. Lather the soap on your skin with your hands and spread it all over your body. Skin against skin, your soaping is carried out with maximum gentleness, without the rubbing or irritation that textile fibres can cause.

4. Let the soap sit on the skin for a few seconds. You prolong its cleansing action and increase the uptake of the soap's natural glycerine by your skin. This is where the rehydrating and repairing care begins.

5. Rinse with clean water, not too hot. Again, too high a temperature would reduce the care provided by your soap: it would disrupt the production of sebum necessary for skin hydration and cause excessive evaporation of skin moisture.

6. Dry your skin by dabbing it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing too hard and scraping the skin with textile fibres: excessive rubbing removes the lipid film deposited on the skin by your soap. Especially in winter, when temperature contrasts exacerbate the skin's sensitivity.

ONE SOAP, TWO ACTIONS.

Cold saponified from precious plant materials, your soap is composed not only of "soap" (the washing part of the soap) but also of vegetable glycerine produced naturally during the saponification process during the weeks of treatment in our workshops (the emollient and softening part of the soap).

In the shower or in the bath, this double composition ensures a simultaneous double action on the skin. The soap-care product acts firstly as an effective cleanser by removing the oily film from the skin to be cleansed as well as the bacteria responsible for bad body odours. At the same time, it deposits a thin layer of emollient and lipid-replenishing glycerine, which is immediately absorbed by the epidermis, allowing the skin's hydrolipidic protection to be re-established without delay, diffusing the natural properties of the oils and butters used in the composition of the soap-care product and restoring the capacity of water to preserve its hydration and regain suppleness and comfort.

The quality of the glycerine is therefore closely linked to the quality of the vegetable oils and butters chosen to create your soap. The composition of the oils and butters in fatty acids and unsaponifiable matter, the adaptation of the formulas to the different needs of the skin, the integral biological quality of each plant material, the use of precious oils and butters as basic ingredients and not just as residual additives... everything counts to obtain the best textures and to ensure real effects on the skin.
